Faces huge game versus King William at home Friday.

Calvin Coolidge fell in a shootout with Coolidge from D.C. and now face Division 4 Magna Vista. (Last week #2)

5 Gate City 3-1
Won a grudge match over Lebanon, now face an improved Appalachia squad.

The Hawks defense played excellent as the offense is catching up to speed

7 Clarke County School 3-0
Clarke gets ready for a test versus Central Woodstock.

The Knights took care of AA Fluvanna and are looking more like the district favorite.

Pretty interesting seeing Kelly in the polls with Powell Valley nowhere to be seen. PV plays a much, much tougher schedule, though, so it doesn't mean a whole lot at this point. I just can't wait for Kelly to be tested so that we can really see what they can do.

Does anyone know how Gretna is looking this year? Clintwood ahead of Gretna, eh? Makes me wonder if Gretna is having a down year or if these pollsters just don't know what they're talking about (aka just going based on records rather than skill, though with some teams such as William Campbell, this doesn't appear to be the case).

I agree. It will be interesting to see what happens when JJK is tested by tougher teams. Although, just because PV plays a tougher schedule, it doesn't mean they should be ranked higher. Kelly has done what they were supposed to do with the teams they played, no matter how weak. But you're right, rankings at this point are pretty useless.
